About this Role

As a Safeguarding Officer at St Peter’s Collegiate Academy, you will play a vital role in removing barriers to learning for our most vulnerable students. Working within the Three Spires Trust, you will support the academy’s mission to ensure every student experiences "life in all its fullness"

This is a permanent, term-time-only position (37 hours per week) based in Wolverhampton.

Key Responsibilities

You will work as part of a dedicated team to provide a complementary service to teachers and families, helping children reach their full potential.

  • Safeguarding Leadership: Act as a named Assistant DSL, supporting the Designated Safeguarding Lead in statutory functions according to KCSIE.

  • Student Support: Triage safeguarding referrals via MyConcern and work with identified children on a 1:1 or small group basis.

  • Family Liaison: Act as a bridge between home and the academy, making home visits and developing positive relationships with parents and guardians.

  • Multi-Agency Work: Attend Child Protection Case Conferences, Core Groups, and other multi-agency meetings to advocate for our students.

We are seeking an energetic and determined individual who acts with moral purpose. The successful candidate will have:

  • Experience: Proven experience supporting children’s learning and working with pupils demonstrating challenging behavior.

  • Interpersonal Skills: The ability to relate well to a wide range of people, including students, staff, parents, and external agencies.

  • Resilience: Emotional resilience and a "can-do" attitude to meet the needs of all stakeholders.
