About this Role

Assistant Designated Safeguarding Lead / Family Support Worker

NJC Scale 4A points 11-15 (£25,130 – £28,561 Actual p.a.) plus an acting up allowance of £1750 p.a.

Working hours will be 37hrs per week: Monday to Thursday 8.30am to 4.30pm, Friday 8.30am to 4pm, Term time only plus 1 week to be worked during the holidays as required (inc. 5 training days)

This is an exciting opportunity to join the school at this time of transition. You will be part of our existing ‘Safeguarding and Wellbeing’ Team working alongside a student support assistant and the Deputy Headteacher in charge of Safeguarding. In addition to responsibilities as assistant designated safeguarding lead, the post will entail working with families who need support in order to ensure students are in school, healthy and thriving. You will deputise for the DSL in their absence. We hope that the person appointed will bring with them experience and ideas for setting up parent networks, forums and partnerships.

Please see the attached letter of introduction, job description and person specification for more details about the role. Visits to the school are welcomed, please contact Romana Tomei at rtomei@holywellschool.co.uk to arrange an appointment.

Applications must be submitted via MyNewTerm by the closing date of Monday 16th March 2026 (Noon).  Interviews will be held on Wednesday 18th March 2026.
