About this Role

Reepham High School & College is an 11-18 comprehensive school, 12 miles north of Norwich. It has approximately 1100 students in total, including 240 students in the sixth form, known as ‘Reepham College’. The school serves a very wide catchment area of nearly 400 square kilometres and 85% of our young people travel by bus.

The school is a true comprehensive school with pupils of all abilities and backgrounds. The intake of the school is broadly in line with the national average in terms of prior attainment. We are currently working to improve our GCSE results, although performance at A Level is consistently in the top 10% nationally for progress made.

Reepham High School & College have a vacancy for an Attendance Officer. High levels of attendance are vital in ensuring that pupils and students make as much progress as possible. Pupils and students who achieve most and gain most from the opportunities we offer invariably have an excellent attendance record. We are looking for a dedicated Attendance Officer to help us support and monitor pupil and student attendance to ensure our pupils and students receive the most from their education and reach their full potential.

Our Attendance Officer will be required to provide a high standard of administrative support as part of our pastoral team and under the direction of our Deputy Head (Pastoral and Safeguarding) to maintain our school attendance register and will work closely with our pupils, students, parents and staff to improve overall school attendance. The successful applicant will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, alongside the ability to demonstrate accuracy and attention to detail, be highly organised and efficient in the management of pupil and student data to ensure compliance with legal requirements and deadlines. You will be flexible and work effectively within a team as well as independently and have a sound knowledge of Microsoft 365. A first aid qualification would be advantageous, but training will be provided.
