Reepham
High School & College is an 11-18 comprehensive school, 12 miles north of
Norwich. It has approximately 1100 students in total, including 240 students in
the sixth form, known as ‘Reepham College’. The school serves a very wide
catchment area of nearly 400 square kilometres and 85% of our young people
travel by bus.
The school is a true comprehensive school with pupils of
all abilities and backgrounds. The intake of the school is broadly in line with
the national average in terms of prior attainment. We are currently working to
improve our GCSE results, although performance at A Level is consistently in
the top 10% nationally for progress made.
We
are looking to appoint a Physics teacher to join our excellent Science
department as we enter a very exciting 2025-2026 academic year following a
successful restructure of the school. The successful candidate will be joining
a supportive department and a lovely and caring school body. We value strong
relationships between our staff and students as well as with each other. We
have high standards of our students conduct and what we think they can achieve.
Our school wide pedagogy is based upon Rosenshine's Principles of Instruction,
and we deliver a knowledge rich curriculum, with a three-year KS3. The
successful candidate will be a team player who has excellent subject knowledge,
who is able to relay that knowledge to our students in a way in which they can
understand.
We
are also looking for a Second in Science, which comes with an additional TLR.
The successful candidate once appointed will also be able to apply for that
additional responsibility.
