The Design & Technology
Department is a thriving department in the school. We are looking for someone
who is enthusiastic, committed to continuous professional development and
passionate about their subject.
This is a Part-Time Permanent role working 19.5 hours per week 0.6 FTE.

The academy is based in Spilsby, an
historic market town nestling between the beautiful Lincolnshire coastline and
the rolling Lincolnshire Wolds. It is also within driving distance of several
Market towns and the larger towns of Boston, Grimsby and the city of
Lincoln. The academy is currently attracting students from a wide catchment
area from Skegness, the surrounding area and as far as
Boston, Alford and Louth.
The proportion of students who are
disadvantaged (49%) and the proportion of students with SEND (28%) is above the
national average.

Who we are looking for
Qualified Teacher Status
A good honours degree in a relevant subject
Evidence of ongoing professional development
Excellent practitioner with demonstrable experience of
raising standards and leading developments in DT
Experience of successful delivery of the DT curriculum
across KS3/KS4
Experience of working in high-performing contexts
Commitment to research-informed pedagogy
Relentlessly high expectations of staff
and scholars
Excellent subject knowledge
Familiarity and comfort with recent developments in Design
and Technology education
Ability to draw meaningful and actionable interpretations from
data
Ability to motivate inspire and develop others
Ability to develop the teaching practice of other
colleagues
