About this Role

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and motivational PE teacher to join our Physical Education department. The ideal candidate will be passionate about PE and will be joining a strong team of experienced teachers. You must be focused on developing exciting and engaging learning experiences for students across the 11-16 age range.  

Purpose of Role

To deliver high-quality Physical Education that inspires all students to develop physical competence, confidence, and a lifelong commitment to health and physical activity. You will promote positive attitudes towards sport, teamwork, and personal achievement while contributing to students’ wellbeing, character development, and academic success within a safe and inclusive learning environment.

Long Field Spencer Academy is a small, vibrant and friendly community secondary school, located in the market town of Melton Mowbray, just 17 miles from both Nottingham and Leicester.  Ours is a modern and forward-thinking school which embraces new opportunities within teaching and learning as well as offering a wealth of excellent extracurricular opportunities, some of which are unique to our school. Judged as ‘Good’ in its most recent Ofsted inspection (May 2023). We welcome all visitors to the school and a visit is recommended to see the school in action.
