Actual Salary: £19,300 per annum

Samuel Ryder Academy is looking to appoint a Teaching Assistant – Vision Impairment Support in the secondary phase of the school. The role is to support a student who has a severe vision impairment, and uses braille as their primary mode of access, with direct support and modification of curriculum resources.

We are looking for practitioners with high expectations of pupil achievement and progress.

We are looking for applicants who put the experience of the child at the heart of their practice; someone eager to extend children’s learning and makes learning fun.

The successful candidates would set themselves high personal standards and be eager to develop professionally to support the schools’ creative curriculum approach to learning.

Previous experience of supporting children and young people and supporting the delivery of the national curriculum in an educational setting is desirable.
