We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Data Officer to join our dedicated team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in supporting student success by providing high-quality data analysis and reporting to inform strategic decision making across the school.

The successful candidate will help maintain and develop our school data systems, working closely with staff to ensure accurate, timely information that drives improvements in student progress and outcomes. The Role:
The Data Officer will play a key role in supporting effective decision-making across the school by managing and analysing student data. The role involves working confidently with SIMS, ClassCharts and Power BI to collect, collate and analyse data, and sharing clear, meaningful information with staff. The successful candidate will work closely with departments to support data collection processes and will contribute to the ongoing development and improvement of the school’s administrative and data systems.

The working hours for this role are 37 hours per week working 8am - 4pm Monday - Thursday and 8am - 3.30pm on a Friday over 41 weeks of the year. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Data Manager in using data to monitor and improve student performance
  • Manage, analyse and present data using school information systems
  • Work with departments to collect, validate and share data effectively
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of data and admin systems
  • Prioritise workload to meet deadlines in a fast-changing environment

The successful candidate will have:

  • Essential
    • Proven experience working with data, information systems and databases (e.g. SIMS, ClassCharts, Power BI or similar
    • Strong skills in data collection, analysis, interpretation and reporting
    • Ability to manage and prioritise workload to meet deadlines and targets
    • Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with a range of staff
    • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
    • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
    • Flexible, proactive approach with the ability to adapt to change
    • Commitment to confidentiality and data protection

    • Desirable
      • Experience working in an education or school setting
      • Understanding of student performance data and assessment systems
      • Experience contributing to the development or improvement of data/admin systems
      • Willingness to engage in ongoing professional development
