We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Social Science Teacher to join our successful department. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who can inspire students to think critically about society, raise aspirations, and help unlock their full potential. We have a thriving Social Science department teaching all aspects of Criminology, Citizenship, Psychology, Religious Studies, and Sociology at KS4, with students opting to study from Year 9. Consequently, this results in Social Sciences being the most popular option choices for post-16 students, often securing onwards destinations at university due to the love of the subject. The ideal candidate will deliver high-quality teaching that drives rapid progress and fosters a genuine curiosity about the social world. You will use engaging resources and inclusive strategies to ensure all students achieve the highest possible standards while developing a strong understanding of sociological concepts, perspectives, and research methods.
We welcome applications from teachers at all stages of their careers, including Early Career Teachers.
We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic person who:
• Has a passion for helping pupils thrive and meet their full potential
• Has a friendly manner and can communicate effectively with staff and pupils
• Can work effectively as part of a team but can also work independently using their own initiative.
• Has experience of working in a similar school
In return, we offer you:
• An incredibly supportive group of colleagues and leaders
• Comprehensive induction programme with a commitment to CPD
• Care first employee assistance programme
• Non-contributory membership of Benenden private health care cover
• Membership of the teachers’ pension scheme
• Two-week, half-term break in October
• Cycle to work scheme
