We are looking for candidates with experience of preparing
resources, supporting students in the classroom and maintaining a clean and
safe working environment to join our brilliant teams as a Technician in our Performing Arts & Creative faculties.
This role is part-time, based on working 17.5 hours per week
for 39 weeks per year (school term time plus 1 week), with core hours of 9.30am
to 1pm Monday to Friday. There may be a need
for some flexibility in these hours during exam periods or for events.
Our technicians are integral to the effective running of our
classes and as such the role will involve meticulous organisation, a positive
approach to learning and engagement in staff training to support outstanding
practice. You will be working alongside a motivated and successful team of
people that are supporting young people in developing their skills and offering
them a broad-based curriculum, specifically in DT, music and drama subjects.

About you
As our Performing Arts & Creative Technician, you will provide
technical and practical support in lessons, by the preparation of equipment and materials for D&T, music and drama subjects. You will undertake a supportive health and safety role in lessons and
will support pupils during practical and theory lessons. Where needed, you will
also be involved in hygiene management and cleaning of equipment, floors and
surfaces. The technician role forms a central part of the work of the faculty,
and he/she will work closely with teaching staff to support, develop and
further extend the work of the faculty and the experiences of the students.
