30 hours per week (Term Time Only + 5 training days)

Scale 2:  Points 3-4 £24,796-£25,185 (actual salary £17, 292 - £17, 564) this Scale includes additional points for the literacy responsibility

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Achievement Assistant to join our hardworking and dedicated SEND team.  Do you have a passion for helping students overcome their barriers or are you interested in starting a career in education/training? 

 This role would suit either;

 a)            A candidate with an enthusiasm for SEND who is interested in becoming an expert in their field.

b)            Someone who is interested in training to become a Teacher. This role will provide you with the experience required to apply to take up a place in a Teaching School.

c)            Someone who is looking for their first step into working in education

The successful candidate will be required to support students from Year 9 through to Year 11 in a range of GCSE courses, dependent on expertise. They will be required to run small group literacy interventions, as directed by an Assistant Principal i/c Literacy. They may be confident in planning and delivering small group interventions for students with learning and additional needs, preparing students for examinations and be able to liaise with teaching staff to identify priorities. You will need to demonstrate a commitment to teamwork, be passionate about ensuring students achieve their fullest potential and be dedicated to helping students develop as young people.
