We are looking to appoint a motivated, enthusiastic and
inspirational Teacher of Technology. A
successful candidate would be able to teach Food & Textiles and Design
Technology (with a Resistant Materials focus) at KS3, with the ability to teach
Food at KS4 being desirable.
The strength of the Technology faculty is the breadth of the
courses and opportunities offered to pupils at KS3 – KS5. All KS3 pupils study Design Technology and
Food/Textiles each week, working through topics that encompass Resistant
Materials, CAD/CAM, Food & Nutrition and Textile designers and
techniques. It would also be desirable
if you had some understanding and experience of TechSoft 2D Design and 3D
modelling software.
At KS4, we offer GCSEs in OCR Food Preparation and
Nutrition, AQA Art & Design – Textiles, AQA Design Technology as well as
BTEC Construction. We also currently
offer A-Levels in AQA Product Design and AQA Art & Design – Textiles.
The ideal candidate will be able to operate within a dynamic
and forward-thinking team who are focused on developing exciting and engaging
learning experiences for students across the 11-18 age range. You must have a passion for Technology,
together with the knowledge and skills to inspire and motivate our
students.
