Teaching Assistant

2 Term Fixed Term Contract

19.5 hours per week, Term Time Only
8.30am to 3.30pm Wednesday to Friday

NJC Pay Scale 5, actual annual salary £11,532

About The Role:

We are seeking an experienced classroom Teaching Assistant to join our team. This role would be ideal for someone who already has experience of supporting key stage 1, within a busy classroom environment. The role is based in a truly wonderful school, where a strong sense of 'family' is at the heart of everything we do.

The candidate will be:

• Supporting individuals and groups of pupils to help them learn. 
• Supporting teachers, parents and other colleagues to help create an effective, safe and purposeful, learning environment. 
• Delivering and evaluating interventions e.g. 1 to 1 reading and phonics intervention. 
• Providing intimate care to pupils as required. 

 The candidate will have: 

• A commitment to supporting the Catholic ethos of the school. 
• Experience of working in a school setting. 
• Experience of working with children who have English as an additional language. 
• A commitment to helping children. 
• The ability to show initiative and adapt to the needs of the role. 
• A willingness to work well as part of the team.
