Physical
Education is a vital and growing area within the Trust, offering students
opportunities to develop physical competence, resilience, teamwork and
leadership. PE plays a key role in promoting healthy lifestyles, mental
wellbeing and lifelong participation in physical activity. Through a broad and
inclusive curriculum, students are encouraged to challenge themselves, develop
confidence, and experience success across a range of sports and activities. The
subject makes a significant contribution to students’ personal development and
cultural capital.
From
September 2026, the Trust will launch the International Baccalaureate Diploma
Programme (IB DP), providing an exciting opportunity for the successful
candidate to contribute to the development of a rich and ambitious curriculum,
including potential involvement in Sports, Exercise and Health Science. This
represents a significant platform for professional growth, curriculum design,
and collaboration within a forward-thinking educational environment.
The
successful candidate will be energetic, well organised and committed to
excellence in the classroom, and will play a key role in further developing
Physical Education across the Trust. They will also contribute to our vibrant
and wide-ranging extra-curricular programme, including fixtures, clubs,
inter-house competitions and enrichment activities that promote participation,
performance and a lifelong love of sport.
We welcome applications from ECTs as well as those who wish to train to teach.
