About this Role

We are excited to offer an excellent opportunity for an Apprentice Learning Mentor to join our dedicated team at Skegness Junior Academy, starting in September.

This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about starting a career in education and developing the skills, knowledge, and behaviours required to become a successful  Learning Mentor. As an apprentice, you will work closely with experienced staff while completing a nationally recognised Teaching Assistant Apprenticeship Standard. 

As an Apprentice  Learning Mentor, your responsibilities will include: 


Supporting teachers with daytoday classroom activities 

                Providing 1:1 or smallgroup support to pupils 

                  Helping to create a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment 

                  Assisting with the preparation of learning materials and resources 

                  Developing strong professional relationships with pupils and staff 

                  Reflecting on your own practice as part of your apprenticeship learning 

                  Attending training sessions, completing coursework, and working closely with your training provider and mentor 

                          Throughout the apprenticeship, you will receive dedicated support from school staff and your training provider to ensure you develop the competencies outlined in the apprenticeship standard, including safeguarding, curriculum support, behaviour management, and effective communication.
