We are recruiting for a Class Teacher for 2 days per week at Eastfield Academy, based in Northampton.

The Class Teacher role is 2 days per week. Actual days to be discussed at interview. This is a fixed term position for the academic year 2026/27.
Deliver engaging and inspiring lessons that meet the needs of all learners.
Plan and prepare high-quality teaching materials and learning opportunities.
Build on pupils’ prior knowledge and abilities to support strong progress and achievement.
Support every child to succeed, including pupils with SEND, EAL, disabilities, and those who are gifted and talented.
Use effective teaching approaches, including early reading strategies such as Read Write Inc where appropriate.
Promote excellent standards of literacy and communication across the curriculum.
Use assessment and feedback effectively to celebrate progress and help pupils grow in confidence.
Provide meaningful feedback and encourage pupils to reflect on and improve their learning.
Use assessment information to guide planning and set achievable targets.
Set purposeful homework and enrichment activities to extend learning beyond the classroom.
Create a positive and well-managed classroom environment in line with school policies.
Create a safe, caring, and stimulating environment where every child feels valued and respected.
Maintain high expectations for behaviour, learning, and personal development.
Support pupils’ wellbeing and encourage positive relationships throughout the school.
Carry out supervisory duties as required.
Promote and safeguard the welfare of all children and young people, following safeguarding procedures at all times.
Qualified Teacher Status.
Honours degree related to Primary Education or a curriculum subject - desirable.
Evidence of sustained participation in INSET/CPD.
Demonstrable evidence of high standards of class teaching.
Understanding of effective assessment and target setting procedures.
Well-motivated, enthusiastic with a can-do attitude.
