We are looking for a committed Design Technology Teacher to join Chantry Academy on a maternity cover basis, with ECT applications warmly welcomed. This role centres on delivering well-structured, engaging lessons that inspire pupils, alongside careful assessment and the ability to adapt teaching to meet a range of needs. As part of a collaborative department within the Active Learning Trust, the successful candidate will contribute to a culture of high expectations, strong relationships and shared professional growth, helping every student to develop confidence, skill and curiosity in their learning.

Summary of Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver well-structured lessons in line with the academy curriculum and schemes of work
  • Assess, monitor and report on pupil progress, using data to inform teaching and support achievement
  • Adapt teaching to meet the strengths and needs of all pupils, setting high expectations for behaviour and outcomes
  • Contribute to the wider life of the academy, working collaboratively with colleagues to support pupil development
