 About the role:

As a Science Teacher at Chantry Academy, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality, engaging lessons, supporting the academic progression of students, and promoting a positive, productive learning environment. You will be expected to uphold the highest standards of professional practice, engage in continuous professional development, and work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance and deliver a dynamic curriculum.

This position is open to experienced professionals and Early Career Teachers (ECTs). We offer strong mentoring systems to support teachers in the early stages of their careers.

 Key responsibilities

  • Teaching: Deliver structured lessons focused on progress and achievement.
  • Assessment: Regularly assess and adapt teaching to support student learning.
  • Student Development: Set high expectations to inspire student potential.
  • Curriculum Delivery: Demonstrate subject expertise and prepare students for external assessments.
  • Safeguarding: Ensure student safety and wellbeing in line with academy policies.
