Learning Support Assistant

33.75 hours per week | Term-time only | Permanent
Grade 3: £26,428–£26,847 per annum (pro rata)
Actual starting salary: £20,735.41 – £21,064.16 per annum (depending on experience)

Notre Dame High School is seeking a committed and compassionate Learning Support Assistant to join our dedicated team.

About the Role

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will:

  • Provide in-class support to students, working closely with teaching staff to adapt learning and promote engagement
  • Deliver targeted 1:1 and small group interventions in areas such as literacy, numeracy, social skills and emotional regulation
  • Support students with a range of needs, including those requiring personal care and mobility assistance
  • Promote independence, inclusion, and dignity for all learners
  • Work collaboratively with the SENCO, pastoral teams, teachers, and external professionals
  • Contribute to monitoring student progress and maintaining accurate records

This role may include supporting students with physical disabilities, including assisting with mobility, personal care, and implementing Individual Healthcare Plans and Personal Emergency Evacuation Plans (PEEPs).
