We are seeking a dedicated Chef de Partie to join our Catering team. This is a permanent, part-time position required for weekends only. The core working hours are Saturdays and Sundays, 10:00 am to 7:00 pm. There will be opportunity to work additional hours for ad-hoc events, depending on business needs.
Reporting to Catering Manager, you will be responsible for providing brunch and supper provision for the boarding community of approximately 120 students at the weekend.
The successful candidate should have:
NVQ Level qualification or equivalent
Level 2 Food and Hygiene
Experience of high volume catering in a similar role
Comprehensive knowledge of allergens
Up to date knowledge with current food trends
Ability to work as part of a team and independently
Experience of working in a school catering environment is desirable but not essential.
Contract: Part-time, Permanent contract
Grade: H6 (Full-time Equivalent salary: £29,540 to £32,061 per year, plus outer fringe allowance of £729 per annum)
Actual Salary: £11,895 to £12,886 per annum (inclusive of outer fringe)
Hours:
17 hours per week on Saturday and Sunday, 10:00 am - 7:00 pm
Term time plus one week to cover additional hours during term time and / or school holidays for ad-hoc events, depending on business needs
Start Date: As soon as possible - Subject to satisfactory pre-employment checks
