We are looking for a General Kitchen Assistant to join our busy and vibrant Catering Department. This is a part-time role of 27.5 hours per week. The working hours are from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm daily from Monday to Friday.
Contract: Part-time, Permanent
Grade: HB Grade (Full-time equivalent salary is £24,413 per annum plus £729 outer fringe allowance per year)
Actual Salary: £15,983 per annum
Hours:
27.5 hours per week across Mondays to Fridays
Working hours: 10:00 am - 4:00 pm, including 30-minute unpaid lunch break. Free lunch on school site is provided on your working days.
Term time plus 1 week
Main Areas of Responsibility
Light food preparation
Operate the tills at break and lunch times
Counter service at lunch time
Washing up of cooking equipment
Operating dishwasher
Kitchen cleaning to include fridges
Receiving of deliveries and placing in correct storage locations
Keeping stock rooms clean and tidy
Setting up any Catering services required
Sweeping and mopping of the floor in Catering areas
Emptying bins when required
Ensuring all Hygiene, Health and Safety standards are followed at all times
Work under the instructions of the Catering Manager, Chefs and Kitchen Supervisor
Additional duties, commensurate with the post’s grade and responsibility, may be added
