School Administrator (Triage and admin support student services)

Responsible to: Assistant Headteacher

Salary: H4 (FTE £25,989-£27,254) Actual salary (£22,831-£23,942)

Contract: 37 hours a week term time plus 2 weeks

Start Date: 1st June 2026

We are seeking an enthusiastic and organised individual to provide general support within our pastoral areas, specifically Triage team. The post holder will play a crucial role in the day-to-day life of a school by providing a wide range of pastoral administrative support, working closely with the Student Services Team. The key objective of this role will be to triage issues as needed and direct students to the right person to help them. The post holder will be required to adopt a flexible approach and be confident, supportive and possess good interpersonal and communication skills. 

Your role will include:

  • Managing the triage desk, assessing student needs on arrival and directing them appropriately

  • Handling calls from reception and responding to general enquiries

  • Managing stock and distribution of student rewards and uniform items.

  • Keeping records and logging on Bromcom as appropriate.

  • Supporting attendance administration processes

  • Providing general pastoral administrative support as required

  • Maintaining accurate and organised filing systems


The successful applicant will:

  • Have excellent administrative and communication skills.

  • Proficient in IT (particularly Google Sheets/Excel)

  • Experience of working within a school setting is desirable.

  • Positive and professional attitude. 

  • Be a strong team player and adaptive to flexibility.

  • Ability to prioritise workload and self management.
