About this Role

Fixed Term (12 months – secondment cover)

Year 3 Class Teacher:  13 hours (0.4 FTE), 52 weeks a year

Salary: Teachers’ Pay Scale up to Teachers Main Payscale 6 (pro rata, depending on experience).

Working Pattern: 8.30am-3.30pm, Tuesday and Wednesdays.

Meadowdale Primary School is seeking to appoint a committed and enthusiastic Class Teacher to join our supportive and welcoming team on a 12‑month fixed-term contract to cover a secondment. This role is part-time (2 days per week) and would suit an experienced teacher or someone seeking a flexible working pattern while continuing to make a meaningful impact on children’s learning.

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Will be an effective and reflective classroom practitioner.
  • Has high expectations for all pupils and a commitment to inclusive practice.
  • Enjoys working as part of a team and building positive relationships with pupils, staff and families.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Teaching responsibility within the Primary phase (exact year group to be confirmed).
  • Planning and delivering high-quality teaching and learning in line with the Primary National Curriculum.
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues to support pupils’ progress and wellbeing.
  • Contributing positively to the wider life of the school.
