The Role

As Principal, you will:

  • Provide strong professional vision and leadership to secure the school’s success and continuous improvement
  • Lead and inspire staff to deliver high-quality teaching and learning for all pupils
  • Promote inclusion, equality and safeguarding across all aspects of school life
  • Work in close partnership with the Trust, Local Academy Board, parents, carers and the wider community
  • Ensure effective operational, financial and staffing management of the academy

Enhanced Trust-Wide Opportunities

For an experienced and highly effective candidate, there may be the opportunity to take on a broader Trust-wide leadership role alongside the Principal post. This could include contributing to school improvement, leadership development or strategic initiatives across Consilium Academies, allowing the successful candidate to influence practice beyond Armthorpe Academy and support the Trust’s commitment to excellence, equity and integrity.

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for a leader who is: 

  • Is a qualified teacher with substantial and successful senior leadership experience
  • Can articulate and deliver a compelling educational vision aligned with high aspirations
  • Has a strong track record of improving teaching, learning and outcomes
  • Uses data strategically to drive improvement
  • Leads with integrity, resilience and ambition, and believes passionately in the potential of every child
  • NPQH or a relevant higher qualification is desirable.
