About the Role

Armthorpe Academy is seeking to appoint a committed and enthusiastic Teacher of Technology to join our forward-thinking team. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a developing curriculum and inspire students in a subject that is central to preparing them for the modern world.

You will deliver engaging and high-quality lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, supporting students to develop practical skills, creativity, and problem-solving abilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver high-quality Technology lessons that engage and challenge all learners
  • Assess, monitor, and report on student progress
  • Create a safe, well-managed, and stimulating learning environment
  • Contribute to curriculum development and departmental improvement
  • Support students’ wider development as a Form Tutor
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and external partners
  • Uphold safeguarding, behaviour, and school policies

What We’re Looking For

We are looking for someone who:

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Has strong subject knowledge in Technology (e.g. Design Technology, Engineering, or related areas)
  • Can teach across KS3 and KS4
  • Is passionate about inspiring students and raising achievement
  • Demonstrates strong classroom management and organisational skills
  • Works effectively as part of a team
  • Is committed to continuous professional development
