About this Role

Do you want to take a key role in well-run and high performing departments where students value the importance of studying Business and Economics?

Do you wish to work in a school committed to the development of all staff and uses its unique location to provide opportunities that other schools cannot?

Do you wish to join an aspirational and collaborative school in the heart of London which transforms, day-by-day, the life chances of its students?

You, like us, will share our belief in the highest standards of academic attainment in a comprehensive setting. We are seeking an inspirational, professional and highly skilled teacher of Business Studies and Economics. Interest in our 6th Form is exceptionally high and our A level subjects receive over 10 applicants for each place available.

Students enjoy the study of this subject across Key Stages 4 and 5 and we run a wide range of extra-curricular activities. The faculty also run an exceptionally well received Pathways to Finance Initiative which supports students with applications to top universities and apprenticeship schemes.

Business Studies and Economics have a particularly high track record of attaining ALPs scores of 1s and 2s in recent years. It is also an extremely popular A Level subject, and due to extremely high demand we have run two A Level groups for a number of years with sufficient numbers to add a third group.

We are looking for someone who has:

The ability and knowledge to teach the Edexcel A Level Business Studies course

The ability and knowledge to teach GCSE Business Studies

The ability and knowledge to teach Edexcel A Level Economics

Ours is a vibrant learning community situated in the heart of central London with all the opportunities and advantages of an inner-city school. In March 2022, the school’s OFSTED inspection confirmed that the school remains a ‘Good’ school, however it has rapidly improved since then as we are restless in our ambition to be ‘Exceptional’ in time for the school’s 150th anniversary in 2027
