The Role

As the SEND Specialist Teacher, you will lead, manage, develop, and maintain high-quality special educational needs provision. You will ensure quality teaching, excellent learning outcomes, and success for all pupils.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement SEND provision
  • Assess SEND students and plan provision accordingly.
  • Lead on provision for students in our alternative provision.
  • Work closely with the SENCo.
  • Provide professional guidance to staff, parents, and agencies
  • Support staff in delivering inclusive education
  • Promote a positive and inclusive school ethos

Qualifications

  • Qualified teacher status with relevant experience
  • Strong knowledge of SEND legislation and effective teaching strategies
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
