Our school is proud to be part of Anthem, a multi-academy trust that creates ambitious and successful schools where every child thrives.
Boston West Academy is a forward-thinking and innovative primary school with a passion for learning beyond the classroom, including through its inspirational and award-winning grounds. Boston West Academy believes that strong, positive relationships provide the foundation for success and promotes a culture shaped by care, collaboration, attitude, respect and equality, alongside a commitment to innovative experiences that make learning enjoyable and meaningful.
You will work with children who have special or particular needs, supporting them individually or in groups as directed by the class teacher and/or SENCO. You will help provide a safe, inclusive and nurturing learning environment, contributing to a range of child‑centred activities that promote development and learning.
When supporting pupils with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs), you will be expected to meet the needs stated within the plan under the direction of the class teacher and SENCO, and liaise with teachers, the SENCO, parents/carers and appropriate external agencies.
Benefits
As part of Anthem Schools Trust, staff benefit from a supportive working environment and access to a range of employee benefits, including health and wellbeing support, professional development opportunities and financial benefits.
Safeguarding
We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expect all staff, visitors and volunteers to share this commitment. All post holders are subject to an Enhanced DBS check, suitable references and other essential checks. Staff involved in recruitment and selection are trained in safer recruitment, and all staff and volunteers undertake child protection training.
