Stephenson Academy is seeking to appoint a dedicated and
experienced Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Coordinator (SENDCo)
to join our team in a specialist setting committed to ensuring every pupil can achieve
and thrive.
Our school supports pupils with a range of complex needs
including [e.g. autism, moderate learning difficulties, SEMH, communication
needs.] The successful candidate will play a key role in leading high-quality
SEND provision, ensuring that every pupil receives personalised support to
access learning, develop independence and achieve positive outcomes.
As SENDCo, you will lead the strategic development of
SEND provision across the school, oversee the implementation and review of Education,
Health and Care Plans (EHCPs), and work closely with staff, families and
external professionals to ensure effective multi-agency support. You will also
support teachers in delivering adaptive teaching and ensure that SEND provision
aligns with the expectations of the SEND Code of Practice, the Ofsted
Education Inspection Framework, and the national vision outlined in the Every
Child Achieving and Thriving schools white paper.
