About this Role

It is an exciting time in the Economics and Business department at Becket Keys Church of England School. Following our recent and successful Ofsted we are looking to appoint a new Economics and Business teacher to support our highly performing team.

As part of our growth plan, we are seeking a teacher for our rapidly growing and highly popular department. If you get on well with other people, enjoy Economics and Business teaching and can help us with these popular subjects, we want to hear from you. We can guide appointees of any experience and background to teach GCSE Business and A Level Business and Economics qualifications to our students.

Economics and Business are extremely popular and successful subjects within the school, with strong uptake at both GCSE and A Level. Students achieve excellent outcomes and demonstrate high levels of engagement and curiosity about real-world economic and business issues. We need someone with a similar passion for finance, business and economics to join our team.

This role would suit anyone from an unqualified teacher, to an Early Career Teacher (ECT), to an experienced practitioner seeking a new challenge, or someone returning to teaching after a career break. Whatever your background, we are confident we can support you in taking the next step in your career.

We have a lot of information about the school on our website, but we are also keen to welcome applicants to come for a tour and a face-to-face meeting with the head of department.

If you would like a conversation about the school or the position, please email us at vacancies@becketkeys.org.

We reserve the right to close advertisements early. Advertisements will therefore close at 12 noon, either on the advertised closing date, or the day the decision has been taken to close the advertisement early.

Becket Keys is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. The successful candidate will be subject to an enhanced DBS check.

The appointee will be committed to our high expectations and core values; we welcome applications from teachers irrespective of their faith or belief.  However, we ask for applicants to appreciate and respect the beliefs of others and have strong moral principles.

Staff of the school benefit from priority admission for their children. Our admissions policy effectively guarantees staff a place in the school for their children. With over 800 applications for our 150 places each year, this is a significant perk! In addition, staff will be provided with a comprehensive induction programme and laptop, childcare vouchers are available, and an excellent neighbouring provision offers discounted rates for staff members.

To Apply

Please complete the forms on our My New Term Portal. If you have any queries please do not hesitate to contact our helpful team on: office@becketkeys.org or call the school on 01277 286600.
