We are looking for Breaks Outdoor Supervisors to join our team at The Henry Box School.  Our Breaks Outdoor Supervisors will be expected to ensure our students are safe and they follow the school procedures for behaviour and conduct during their morning and lunch breaks.  In between the morning and lunch break, you will be required to make the school site safe and tidy in readiness for the lunch break, this will involve litter picking and sweeping or mopping entrance ways.

It is essential that you are able to work during school term time, your holidays must be taken in the school holiday periods.  You will not be able to have any annual leave during a school term.

We would like to hear from applicants who are highly professional, well presented, and are able to uphold high standards of conduct and remain calm under pressure.  We would prefer applicants who have current or previous experience of supervision of children and young people, site health and safety, and cleaning.  Candidates with no or little experience may be considered as training on school procedures will be provided.  The work will primarily be outside of the school buildings so interested parties should be prepared to work outside in all weathers.

The current hourly rate is £12.71 per hour and a local government pension is also available.

As our commitment to professional development is second to none, the successful candidate can be assured of receiving outstanding support in order to further develop their career.

We are seeking to appoint the best possible candidate and our recruitment process will reflect our desire to undertake all possible measures to achieve this.

The Henry Box School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.  All successful candidates are required to have enhanced DBS clearance and will need to undertake the DBS check with our organisation.  Other relevant pre-employment checks will also be carried out including references from present and previous employers, a confidential health check and internet/social media checks.
