About this Role

Location: Cromwell Community College, Chatteris, Cambridgeshire
Contract: Permanent, Full-time
Salary: MPS - UPS (£32,916 - £51,048 Plus TLR 2 £3,527)

Inspiring ambitious mathematicians across an allthrough community where every young person matters.

We are looking for a Maths teacher who is energised by the chance to inspire young people and help shape a culture where curiosity, confidence and achievement flourish. Cromwell Community College, an ambitious all-through school, offers the opportunity to influence learning from early years through to sixth form within a supportive and forward-thinking environment. Here, high expectations go hand in hand with warmth, collaboration and a deep commitment to every child’s success. We want someone who will bring strong subject expertise, a reflective approach and a drive to secure excellent progress for all. This is a meaningful role where your teaching can spark possibility and help move our community forward.

A TLR 2 is attached to this role, recognising the additional responsibility involved in shaping highquality Maths provision and contributing to wider curriculum development across the school.

 Summary of Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver wellstructured Maths lessons that follow the academy curriculum and support strong progress.
  • Assess, monitor and report on pupils’ learning needs, progress and achievements, using assessment effectively.
  • Adapt teaching to meet pupils’ strengths and needs while maintaining high expectations and positive behaviour.
  • Contribute to the wider life, ethos and development of the academy, working collaboratively with colleagues.
  • Engage fully in professional development, appraisal and training to strengthen teaching practice, and support the development of others where appropriate

 Why Join Our Trust?

  • Belong to a compassionate and inclusive trust that values you and the role you play.
  • Join an experienced group of people that are fully dedicated to delivering the best for our children.
  • Gain access to our VivUp employee benefit system, Cycle to Work scheme and local government pension scheme.

If you would like an informal discussion about the role, or for more info, please contact Vicki Walpole, Human Resources and Recruitment Officer, at: vwalpole@cromwell.cambs.sch.uk
