Grade 9 - Higher Level Experienced member of support staff to be a Key Stage Leader of Support for Learning
37 Hours per week (39 weeks) Actual starting salary £27,447.81 (FTE £32,070.00)

Induction dates: 5th and 6th January 2026 (successful candidates will need to be available on these dates)
You will lead and manage a team of support staff within a specific phase of the school. Your main goal is to ensure all pupils receive high-quality support and can access their learning successfully.
Lead a Team: Manage, mentor, and coach support staff to ensure excellent practice.
Support Pupils: Develop and run intervention programs for pupils who need extra help.
Curriculum Expert: Develop expertise in one area of the curriculum and deliver high-quality learning experiences.
Classroom Support: Work with teachers to create supportive learning environments. You will also cover Planning, Preparation, and Assessment (PPA) time for some classes.
Progress Tracking: Monitor and record student progress using the 'Earwig' system (online).
Collaboration: Work with teachers, staff, families, carers, and outside professionals (multi-disciplinary teams) to achieve the best results for pupils.
Model Practice: Set a positive example for both staff and students, always upholding the school's values.

The post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and subject to a check being carried out at an Enhanced level by the Disclosure and Barring Service regarding any previous criminal record.
