Site Manager 

Ashfield Academy

Salary: Grade 9 Pay Point  19-22 (£32,070 to £34,359 per annum)

Approximate starting Annual Salary is £14,831.39 per annum

Hours: 20 Hours per week; 39 Weeks per year(Term time only plus Inset days)

Contract Type: Permanent

Working Pattern: Monday to Friday 08:00am to 12:00pm

About the Role: 

Ashfield Academy are looking for a Site Manager who plays a vital part in ensuring the school remains safe, secure and well‑maintained. To oversee day‑to‑day site operations, lead the premises team, and manage health and safety systems and risk assessments to keep our environment in excellent condition for pupils and staff. Working closely with senior leaders, to  help deliver improvements across the site and provide practical, solution‑focused support whenever needed.

What We're Looking For:

Qualifications:

  • Literacy and Numeracy at Level 2 or above

  • Qualifications in health and safety or the willingness to complete:
  • Level 4 Award in Health and Safety in the Workplace
  • Level 4 Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety
  • National General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety


Experience:

  • Experience of managing projects 

  • Experience of leading a team or line management
  • Experience of carrying out quality assurance work
  • Experience of improving systems


Skills and Knowledge:

  • An understanding of statutory advice and guidance in relation to health and safety in the workplace.
  • An understanding of Safeguarding legislation within education including Keeping Children Safe in Education
  • An understanding of Special Educational Needs and disability awareness or willingness to learn
  • Ability to improve own practice
  • Ability to interpret data and information and take appropriate action as a result
  • Ability to work on own initiative and complete tasks as requested
