We are seeking to appoint a caring, enthusiastic, and dedicated Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join our welcoming and supportive team at DSLV Secondary.

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting students’ learning and development across a range of subjects. Working closely with teaching staff, you will help foster an inclusive, engaging, and supportive classroom environment where all students can thrive. You will provide both one-to-one and small group support, enabling students to access the curriculum and achieve their full potential.

Key responsibilities:

• Support students in lessons under the direction of the teacher
• Assist students with additional learning needs, including SEND
• Deliver targeted interventions and structured support programmes
• Contribute to maintaining a positive, inclusive, and focused learning environment
• Support students’ social, emotional, and behavioural development
• Assist with lesson preparation and classroom resources

Pay range: NJC 8 - 12 £20,723.09 - £22,093.61 - 32.5 Hours, 39 weeks per year

FTE: £26,824 -£28, 598

Qualifications and Skills:

• Experience working with young people (preferably in a secondary school or educational setting)
• Good literacy and numeracy skills (minimum GCSEs in English and Maths or equivalent)
• Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable)
• Ability to support students with additional needs (SEND) with patience, empathy, and understanding
• Strong teamwork and organisational skills, with the ability to follow direction and use initiative
