The Wensum Trust is seeking to appoint a committed and enthusiastic colleague to teach in our English faculty at Hellesdon High School. This post offers the possibility to teach English across all three Key Stages.
The English department prides
itself on a commitment to making language and literature come alive for our
students. We understand the importance of a clear roadmap and have a curriculum
and detailed schemes of work already mapped out. These resources are designed
to build pupils' understanding of English logically and effectively. As a
department, we are focused on continuing to improve our students’ outcomes and
we believe the best way to achieve this is together. You’ll be joining a
down-to-earth team that looks after one another, ensuring that every colleague
feels supported.
At Hellesdon High School we are committed to an evidence-informed approach
and a strong subject specific basis to our CPD programme. As a school and trust we offer excellent
support for early career teachers, a number of career development opportunities
and have great success in supporting staff seeking promoted posts.
Whilst this post would be ideal
for an Early Career Teacher it is also a great opportunity for a teacher
looking to broaden their experience in a large school with a Sixth Form.
As part of The
Wensum Trust, we believe that our shared duty is to help every child to develop
into high achieving, confident, healthy, caring and resilient members of their
family and community. We want our schools to be healthy environments where both
children and staff can develop and where strong, positive relationships are
key. Our school, therefore, practises a relational approach with children, our
families and our communities. We are particularly interested in working with
people who share Our Qualities; who will work effectively and
flexibly as part of a team.
We care about
bringing together the most able people, to help us achieve our vision of
providing a rounded education for children, quality support for their families
and opportunities to enrich our communities.
