St Bede's has the pleasure of advertising to this unique position for an effective Finance and Health & Safety Co-Ordinator to work in a busy school supporting the needs of students, as well being a visual member of the school and we’re looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys taking ownership of meaningful work.

What You’ll Bring

  • A solid understanding of Health & Safety legislation and safe working practices (IOSH qualification desirable).
  • Knowledge of required risk assessments and regulatory responsibilities.
  • Awareness of Home/School transport regulations, particularly those relevant to Catholic schools.
  • Confidence in providing accurate finance and statistical data.
  • An ability to prioritise, stay organised, support students appropriately, and build positive professional relationships.
  • Flexibility, initiative, and a commitment to maintaining high standards.

Your Mission as Finance & Health & Safety Coordinator

You will work closely with the Responsible Property Officer, Senior Leadership Team, and Trust colleagues, taking responsibility for two crucial areas of school life:

Key Responsibilities

  • Health & Safety Leadership: Ensure all policies, practices and legislative requirements are followed across the Academy.
  • Finance Coordination: Support financial processes and provide accurate data to help us make informed decisions.
  • Problem-Solving: Tackle challenges head-on, offering practical solutions and keeping systems running smoothly.
  • Continuous Improvement: Embrace learning, share your knowledge and help us strengthen our provision.
