Key responsibilities:
Plan and deliver high-quality PE lessons Design and deliver engaging, inclusive and challenging Physical Education lessons that promote progression and enable all students to achieve their full potential. Set high expectations and support student achievement Maintain high expectations of all learners, using a range of teaching strategies to motivate and support girls in developing confidence, skills and a commitment to physical activity. Assess, monitor and provide feedback on student progress Use a variety of assessment methods to track progress, mark work in line with academy policies, and provide timely, constructive feedback to improve performance. Promote student wellbeing and provide pastoral support Support the personal development, wellbeing and safeguarding of students, acting as a tutor where required and responding to individual needs sensitively and effectively. Contribute to a positive and inclusive school culture Work collaboratively with colleagues, promote equality and diversity, and uphold the academy’s values while ensuring a safe and supportive learning environment.
Pay range: M1 - U3 £40,317 - £62,496 (Inner London)
Qualifications and Skills:
Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) (or equivalent) Has a strong subject knowledge of Physical Education Is passionate about girls’ participation and achievement in sport Demonstrates excellent classroom management and organisational skills Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children Works collaboratively and contributes positively to a team
