The Bedfordshire Schools Trust (BEST) is a multi-academy trust providing exceptional education across our community of 11 schools and five nurseries. Since forming in 2016, we have grown significantly into one of the largest single employers in Central Bedfordshire. We now educate more than 5,000 children across the area, from nursery age to advanced level study. Samuel Whitbread Academy are looking for a Vice Principal who has a highly robust and detailed understanding of all aspects of safeguarding, pastoral support and personal development in a secondary school context. You will have demonstrated impact with significant measurable improvement in your current setting. You will be able to easily transfer this experience to our setting and align it to our ethos.
The successful candidate will be an exceptional leader and excellent communicator, who already has some experience of leadership at a whole-school level. You will be able to demonstrate excellence in your classroom practice and will evidence significant investment in your own professional development.
As Vice Principal, you will play a pivotal role in the strategic leadership and management of the Academy. Working closely with the Principal, you will help drive our mission to provide outstanding education and foster a culture of high expectations and continuous improvement.

We would like the successful applicant to start in April 2025, however we are willing to consider a September start date for the right candidate.
This role will involve working closely with the students at Samuel Whitbread Academy and you will be engaging in regulated activity with children.
