About this Role

Build Positive Relationships, Achieve Positive Outcomes at The Thomas Lord Audley School.

Are you a Ready, Respectful, and Responsible individual who is passionate about creating an inspiring learning environment? Do you have the skills to help every student reach their full potential, both academically and personally?

At The Thomas Lord Audley School, our vision is to empower our young people to be the best that they can be. All our staff are highly committed to creating a positive learning environment and excellent relationships, allowing every student to grow and develop.

We're looking for a calm, caring and enthusiastic Behaviour and Inclusion Manager to become a vital part of our community and help us continue to create a school that is characterised by positivity, challenge, and enjoyment. Effective behaviour support and mentoring are central to our inclusive approach. Our Behaviour and Inclusion Manager plays a key role in helping students understand the impact of their choices, develop positive behaviours and successfully reintegrate into mainstream learning, ensuring every young person has the opportunity to succeed.

The Behaviour and Inclusion Manager will lead our internal behaviour intervention provision, ensuring students receive high-quality academic support, purposeful mentoring and personalised intervention during periods away from mainstream lessons. Working closely with senior leaders, pastoral teams and families, you will help students develop the strategies, resilience and self-regulation needed to return successfully to learning.  This will include monitoring and supporting them with work on their core subjects as well as overseeing their therapeutic interventions associated with the reason for them being placed in the School’s Reflection Room.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone with experience in education, youth work, pastoral care, alternative provision or behaviour support who is committed to making a lasting difference to young people’s lives.

If you believe that every young person deserves the opportunity to succeed, regardless of the challenges they face, and you have the determination to build positive relationships that transform behaviour and improve outcomes, we would love to hear from you.

A Day in the Life:

As our Behaviour and Inclusion Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in helping students overcome barriers to learning and achieve success. Working closely with senior leaders, pastoral teams and teaching staff, you’ll combine high expectations with compassionate support to create an environment where every student can reflect, learn and thrive.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading the day-to-day operation of our Behaviour and Inclusion Centre, ensuring a calm, purposeful and supportive environment that promotes positive behaviour and successful reintegration into mainstream learning.
  • Working closely with senior leaders and pastoral colleagues to coordinate high-quality behaviour interventions, mentoring and restorative support for students.
  • Planning and overseeing personalised programmes that combine academic learning, mentoring and targeted intervention to meet individual student needs.
  • Building positive relationships with students, helping them develop the self-regulation, resilience and strategies needed to make lasting improvements to their behaviour.
  • Maintaining high expectations, consistent routines and a culture of respect, ensuring students feel both supported and challenged to make positive choices.
  • Monitoring students’ engagement, progress and behaviour, providing clear feedback to pastoral leaders and contributing to successful reintegration into school life.

What We're Looking For:
You are the perfect fit for our team if you have:

  • Successful recent experience working with secondary age children
  • English and Maths GCSE (or equivalent) at Grade C/Grade 4 or above
  • Working knowledge of key aspects of the National Curriculum
