"We are acutely aware of the pressure our students face when they walk into the hall. Our job is to handle the logistics so quietly and professionally that the room simply feels safe and settled. It is highly rewarding to work as part of a core team that looks out for each other during our busiest weeks."
Why This Role Matters (About the Role)
Our invigilation team provides the essential framework for student success during secondary school milestones. Working across our main examination halls and specialised smaller rooms, you will maintain the strict regulatory standards required by the Joint Council for Qualification (JCQ) guidelines while actively lowering the ambient stress for the candidates in our care. You will not merely supervise a space; you will protect the integrity of the examination process and offer a reassuring, grounded presence when students need it most.
What You’ll Bring (Skills & Experience)
● Absolute Reliability: Punctual and consistent attendance for morning and afternoon sessions during peak exam seasons.
● Methodical Approach: The ability to understand, remember, and apply precise regulations and procedural instructions.
● Composed Demeanour: A quiet, authoritative, and professional manner under time-sensitive conditions.
● Clear Communication: Excellent verbal skills, with the ability to give instructions quietly and effectively within an examination environment.
● Collaborative Mindset: A team-first approach, working fluidly alongside our Exams Officer and fellow invigilators.
The "Why Us" Difference (The Professional Promise)
● Comprehensive Preparation: We provide structured, paid induction and thorough annual training on examination regulations, ensuring you feel entirely confident before your first shift.
● A Highly Organized Environment: Our examination cycles are managed with exceptional operational clarity, meaning you are always backed by clear instructions and direct support from our central exams team.
● Grounded Community Value: Work within a collaborative, respectful school culture that deeply values the contribution of its casual and operational staff.
