Alfriston School is a dedicated Special Educational Needs (SEN) school catering to pupils aged 11-18 years with Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD) and a range of additional needs including speech and language difficulties. We are committed to creating a safe, inclusive, and inspiring environment where students can thrive physically, emotionally, and academically.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and adaptable PE Teacher with experience or a keen interest in working with students with special educational needs. The successful candidate will deliver engaging and accessible physical education lessons that promote physical fitness, confidence, and teamwork.

Key Responsibilities:

· Plan and deliver inclusive PE lessons tailored to girls with MLD.
· Differentiate instruction to accommodate varying abilities and additional needs.
· Promote physical health, teamwork, and emotional well-being.
· Monitor student progress and contribute to EHCP (Education, Health and Care Plan) reviews.
· Ensure safety and safeguarding standards are consistently upheld.

The Ideal Candidates Will Have:

· Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
· Experience teaching PE (mainstream or SEN)
· Experience working with students with MLD or similar needs
Passion for inclusive education and adaptive sports
