Bartholomew School is looking to expand its team of invigilators who will be required to work during exam periods throughout the academic year, most importantly mid-May to end of June; at other times of the year we would be happy to work on a flexible basis. No previous experience is necessary as full training will be provided.

We would welcome applicants who feel that they:

  • ·         Can work well as part of a team
  • ·         Have good organisational skills
  • ·         Can be flexible, punctual and reliable
  • ·         Have good verbal and written English communication skills
  • ·         Can play a key role in upholding the integrity of the examination/assessment process and adhere to exam regulations
  • ·         Can bring a confident and reassuring presence to an exam venue

The salary for this post includes a temporary Recruitment or Retention Supplement which is subject to review on an annual basis. If there is clear evidence that this supplement is no longer appropriate you will be consulted and the salary for the job may be revised in line with the evaluated grade for the job.

Bartholomew School is based on a positive and caring community ethos with a reputation for safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people.  The school became an academy on 1 March 2012, part of the Eynsham Partnership Academy in July 2014, and is one of the top performing schools in Oxfordshire.

The EPA is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people/vulnerable adults and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.

This position is subject to appropriate vetting procedures including a criminal record check from the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly CRB) which will require you to disclose details of all unspent and unfiltered spent reprimands, formal warnings, cautions and convictions as part of the recruitment process.

The closing date for all applications is 12.00 Noon on Friday, 30th January 2026, with interviews to follow as soon as possible thereafter.

We look forward to receiving your application.
