We are looking for a compassionate, proactive and highly organised Family Support Worker to join our team from September 2026. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting children and families, promoting wellbeing, and helping every child thrive both in and beyond the classroom.
The successful candidate will play a vital role in strengthening relationships between home and school, supporting attendance and wellbeing, and working alongside staff and external agencies to safeguard and support our children and families.
We are a proud, high-performing primary school where children are encouraged to Inspire, Enjoy and Achieve. Our core value of RESPECT underpins everything we do, and our unique provision - including our 7 Wonders - ensures that children are supported academically, socially and emotionally.
We are passionate about:
Creating a nurturing and inclusive environment where every child feels safe and valued
Supporting the whole child, including wellbeing and personal development
Building strong partnerships with families and the wider community
Developing staff through high-quality CPD and collaboration
Our curriculum and wider provision are shaped by our commitment to providing children with rich, meaningful experiences through our Magnificent 7. Alongside this, we place a strong emphasis on wellbeing, nurture and inclusion to ensure every child has the support they need to flourish.
This is a varied and highly rewarding role where no two days are the same. You will work closely with pupils, families, staff and external agencies to provide early intervention, practical support and guidance for families.
The role includes:
Supporting safeguarding processes as a Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead (DDSL)
Working with families to improve attendance and punctuality
Providing wellbeing support for identified pupils
Supporting parents and carers through meetings, workshops and signposting
Building positive relationships with vulnerable pupils and families
Working collaboratively with external professionals and agencies
Contributing to our inclusive ethos and wider pastoral provision
If you are someone who is passionate about making a genuine difference to children and families, you will feel very much at home here.
