Deputy Director of Design & Technology with responsibility for leading Computing and IT

The role:
We are
currently seeking to appoint a Deputy Director of Design & Technology with
responsibility for leading Computing and IT working with supportive like-minded
teachers who share the same vision to inspire our students to achieve their
full potential. This is an exciting opportunity to not only lead computing and
IT subjects but also to prepare for and drive the new IT and computing
curriculum reforms. Within this role you will be responsible for delivering
engaging lessons at a high standard to our students to achieve this vision and
leading on the demonstratable progress and development of students within your
subject area. The Deputy Director will be responsible for the assistance
in leading our design and technology department and driving the improvement of
teaching and learning within this area. The role will require excellent
subject, examination and national curriculum knowledge.
The person:
We are looking for someone who has a real passion
for teaching and can demonstrate excellent subject knowledge. The ideal
candidate will have a wealth of experience, they can bring to our school, of
successfully working with students to enable them to reach their
potential.
