FWS - Cleaner Grade 2 Permanent 2 days a week ( Thursday & Friday)
We are seeking hard-working, dedicated school cleaners with a ‘can do attitude’, to work in our special school. You will work as a part of the team undertaking various cleaning duties throughout the school to ensure our children’s learning environment is always clean.
Start Date 17th August 2026
Salary: Grade 2 £24,804.00 FTE.
Actual salary £6533.08
This is a 41 weeks per year contract (41 weeks per year equates to term time plus 6 shifts at agreed times during the school holidays)
You will be working 12 hours per week during term time, working 6:00am - 12:00pm ( this will include a 30 minute break) Thursday and Friday, plus a minimum of 33 hours to be worked during school closures.
We would like you to have:
● Experience in cleaning duties and knowledge of best practices in cleaning.
● Ability to work under own initiative without supervision to ensure work is completed and of the highest standard.
● Awareness of the importance of providing a quality service to meet the cleaning requirements of the school.
● Reliable
● An understanding of Keeping Children Safe in Education and your responsibilities for Safeguarding
● An understanding of Health and Safety regulations relating to the operation of cleaning machinery and materials.
● Awareness of the Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH)

You will also be required to attend an induction, dates TBC
