TLR 2.1 opportunity for Raising Aspirations:

The Raising Aspirations role at Stratton School supports students across the whole school to access leading universities and competitive pathways. The post holder provides targeted guidance on progression, leads and supports the Extended Project Qualification in the sixth form, and coordinates participation in programmes such as The Brilliant Club across KS4 and KS5. The role promotes inclusive access to high-quality enrichment and guidance for all students, ensuring equitable opportunities to raise aspirations and achieve their full potential.

Hours of work: Core school hours 

We are looking to appoint a Teacher of Business and Economics to join our wonderful community. We have a large and supportive  team here, which is well resourced and part of the Meridian Trust which provides a huge subject network for professional development. 

The ideal candidate 

  •   Qualified Teacher Status and degree in specialist subject 
  •    Experience of teaching at KS3 to KS4 
  •    Evidence of securing high outcomes from students 
  •    Ability to use IT to support effective teaching and learning 
  •    Commitment to continuing professional development 
  •    Effective form tutoring and committed to the importance of pastoral support 
  •    Understand and be a proud advocate of the five values of all Meridian Trust schools 
  •     Believe that students make the best progress when teaching is well planned and well delivered
