In conjunction with our accredited provider, the Trust is offering this Post Graduate Teacher Apprenticeship (PGTA) to start in September 2026. Based at Stanground Academy,  you will study for Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). Your training fees will be covered by our GAT apprenticeship levy and you will earn a salary on the Unqualified Teacher scale while you work towards QTS. 

Since 2013 we have successfully trained over 250 teachers through academy-based ITT, with many former trainees now in positions of leadership.

In order to apply you must have: 

  •  Significant experience of teaching in a UK mainstream classroom 
  • GCSE grade C/4 or above in English and maths (and science for Primary) 
  • UK Honours Degree at 2:2 or above
  • UK ENIC comparability for overseas Degree/GCSE equivalence
  • British citizenship and/or have lived in the UK on a permanent basis for the last three years (visa sponsorship is not available for this role)

The successful candidate will also be required to complete a DfE application and further selection process with the training provider prior to offer.
