St Christopher’s Multi Academy Trust are recruiting a Family Support Worker to work across 3 schools (St Edward’s, Old Priory and St Mary’s) to support the emotional and social well-being of our pupils and their families.  We are looking for someone who can build trusting relationships with both parents and pupils to help engage them with their education.  You will be part of a team that supports our most vulnerable pupils both in and out of the classroom.  You will work closely with teachers to oversee academic progress, monitor behaviour and attendance and help pupils with particular challenges that create barriers to their learning and wellbeing.

The successful applicant will have experience working with families, vulnerable people or children, supporting them with social, emotional, and mental health needs.  A knowledge and understanding of local resources and community and statutory services, including Mental Health Teams, Social Services, Health, CAMHS, and school and voluntary services would be useful.

The schools are part of St Christopher’s Multi Academy Trust, which is a family of 21 Church and Community Schools spanning three local authorities and providing a rich network of collaboration.  St Edward’s CofE Primary School and Nursery is in Eggbuckland, Plympton St Marys Infants and Old Priory Junior Academy are a short walk from each other in Plympton
