We are delighted to offer a new opportunity for a committed and compassionate Behaviour Support Worker to join our Special Educational Needs Department, working closely with students who present with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. This role is designed to provide targeted support to students who may require additional regulation strategies throughout the school day, with a strong emphasis on practical engagement and relational development.
Alongside supporting students
within the classroom environment, this position offers the opportunity for the
right candidate to facilitate practical activities—such as sport, engineering,
and hands-on learning experiences—that promote emotional regulation,
engagement, and positive behaviour. These activities will be tailored to
individual student interests and needs, providing meaningful breaks and
opportunities for self-regulation and reflection.
This position will involve
working collaboratively with the SENCo and wider pastoral team to identify
students requiring SEMH support and implement structured break and intervention
sessions. The successful candidate will also contribute to the development of
behaviour support strategies, monitor student progress, and maintain clear
communication with staff to ensure a consistent and supportive approach.
